At The Highland Center for the Arts, Unadilla, Highland Lodge, and Hardwick Town House
In its 14th Summer Season as the People’s Theater, the Greensboro Arts Alliance and Residency/The Mirror Theater is proud to announce its 2019 Season, extending from the Highland Center for the Arts to a residency at Unadilla, the 4th Annual Sowles Gala at Highland Lodge, and a reading of a new play, Creation, about Albert Einstein, at the Hardwick Town House.
July 26, 27, 28: The Highland Center for the Arts will present the HCA/GAAR Vermont premiere of a brilliant new play by Bernard (The Elephant Man) Pomerance. Miranda is a sequel to Shakespeare’s The Tempest, featuring Tony-nominated Marla Schaffel (pictured above), GAAR/The Mirror’s Artist in Residence, Alex Meraz (Twilight), as Caliban and Jamie Loy (The Cherokee Word for Water). August 4 at Highland Lodge, The Fourth Annual Sowles Award Gala, featuring the music of Oklahoma! with the voices of Vermont, the talents of Heidi Lauren Duke, Marla Schaffel, Music Director Mary Jane Austin, and Erik Kronke, with violinist Roy MacNeil. August 8, 9, 10, 11 Unadilla’s Festival Theater is partnering with GAAR for a residency, presenting GAAR’s acclaimed production of The Belle of Amherst, starring Marla Schaffel, with Roy MacNeil, violinist, directed by Sabra Jones, to initiate the partnership with Bill Blatchley’s Unadilla complex.
